Happy Labor Day!
My wife and I are in Maine at the home my great, great grandfather built in the 1860’s.
It has stood the test of time amazingly well and comes complete with a barn and two horse stalls. And speaking of two. It has a two person outhouse INSIDE at the rear of the home.I guess that was indoor plumbing in the 1860’s.
I wanted to share a story I learned about my grandfather a couple years ago.
It is worth watching this short video for what his story taught me about persistence and opportunity.
If you want to read the story in his own words here is the article he wrote in 1953 for his 50th high school reunion. If you seem like your’re lost at times just scroll down and the story will continue.
Here’s to persistence and knocking on those doors of opportunity.
