How Can I Help You? – One Minute Video Tip

By Uncategorized

In 2016 I am committed to being of more service to you and remembering daily “How Can I Help You?”

Mary had a great suggestion and that was to do a weekly one minute or less tip.

I ran that idea by our community. Paul and Annemarie were quick to respond that they loved the idea so thank you to them and here it is.

I set up a You Tube Channel just for these one minute video tips. Click here for the first tip <======

I am also committed to not abusing your time so these one minute videos will be just that…one minute or less.

One suggestion was could I also give a weekly three tips in less than three minutes and yes I can and will. But I don’t wan’t you inundated with videos so if you’d like that video also I am setting that up in a special free club.

To join the FREE 3 tips in 3 minutes or LESS club just click here. This will be the only access to the 3 tips in 3 minutes or less videos.

p.s. If you have a subject for a tip just leave a comment/reply and I will do a one minute or less video on it.

My Holiday Message And Favorite Recipe For You

By Uncategorized

Most of us celebrate holidays in December. A lot of us will celebrate Christmas this Friday with New Year a week after that. It’s a pretty spectacular time of year.

This time of year I like to take time to think about how fortunate I am.

Almost always I put “I’m fortunate for my health” at the top of my list . It’s the starting point and one of those things we often take for granted until it’s in jeopardy.

This week I spoke with a lifetime friend who is a doctor with prostate cancer for the second time and also spent time with another person who is caring for his wife who is waiting for a double lung transplant. Yes, I’m very fortunate!

I hope you are in great health and take a few minutes to reflect on those that aren’t as fortunate.

I am also thankful for a great family and friends that help me and make life more fun in all the ways they do. This is a time of year to stop and take a few minutes to thank and many times reconnect with those that may have drifted away. I am always amazed how powerful those reconnections can be.

I also want to thank you for taking the time to keep in touch with me. I’ve been fortunate to have made friends with a great group of practitioners that have shown me so many lessons in improving and maintaining our health and hopefully longevity. If some of those lessons have helped you I am thankful for that.

I always sit down and set goals for the next year this time of year. Our odds of accomplishing goals are much better when we write them down, look at them each day and really BELIEVE you will accomplish them.

I’d encourage you to set audacious goals with the mindset of “What would I want to do if I knew I couldn’t fail!”

This week I had someone who asked “What do you eat on a whole food, plant based diet? Steam?”  Funny, but I get some variant of that question a lot.

So I wanted to give you my favorite whole food, plant based recipe. This recipe is courtesy of Ann & Jane Esselstyn.

Just CLICK HERE to get it.

And lastly THANK YOU. The ability to get to “know” many of you through this year has really been fantastically rewarding.

The Biggest SECRET (And A Myth) About Losing Weight

By Uncategorized
Let’s start with the myth.

Next Tuesday, I am doing a FREE webinar on how I lost 18 pounds and lowered my cholesterol 81 points in two months (if you haven’t already registered you can by clicking here ).

The number one question I’m getting is “How’d you do it?”.  That makes sense, right?

Most “gurus” will tell you to count calories and eat less while exercising more.  But guess what?  If that works so well why do nearly 65 percent of dieters return to their pre-dieting weight or more within three years?  And the statistics for dieters who lose weight rapidly, according to Wellsphere, a website sponsored by Stanford University, are even worse. Only 5 percent of people who lose weight on a crash diet will keep the weight off.

Here’s the big secret:

If counting calories and exercising doesn’t work long term what does?

There are two answers to this secret.

The first one almost every “guru” ignores but it is the key to success.  And it’s MOTIVATION.  Unless you have a crystal clear reason in your head as to why you want to lose the weight or get healthier or both what happens? What happens is that when those temporary setbacks happen you’re likely to say “I knew this was just another Dufus diet that wouldn’t work for me” and you’ll likely throw in the towel.

So I shot this short video for you on how to get motivated and make it stick.

The Free webinar is just a week away so while it is fresh in your mind just click this link and register.  It ‘ll take you less than two minutes, if you type as slowly as I do, which is highly unlikely.  After all, who else do you know who types with two fingers and they’re not even the same finger on both hands.  But I digress.

OK.  I said there were two answers to this secret.  The second secret is that counting calories doesn’t work long term but eating the right foods does.  We’ll cover what that means in the next post.

Enjoy the video, let me know what you think by hitting reply and register for the free webinar now. It would be a great idea to write down what you’re eating as prep.  Here’s the food log I mention in the video below.

To Your Quantum Leap In Health,
Bruce

P.S. – We’re getting close to the holiday season and those parties when losing weight can be challenging.  We’ll talk about how to maneuver those waters on the webinar.  Feel free to share this link with a friend you think could use it.  The Whipple Way .

P.P.S. – The Free webinar is just a week away so while it is fresh in your mind just click this link and register.  Please leave a comment below.  I read them ALL and would love to hear what you think and what you’d like to see next.

How I Lowered My Cholesterol By 81 Points

How I Lowered My Cholesterol 81 Points In 2 Months

By Uncategorized
So, how did I lower my cholesterol 81 points, without medication, in just two months?
That’s a pretty interesting question, isn’t it? And that’s what this week’s video is about.
I was amazed at how quickly my cholesterol was lowered by this change in what I ate.  And I lost 18 pounds in those two months.
While this is great information anytime it’s really great information as we get ready for those holiday parties and New Year’s resolutions.
Here’s how I did it (just click the “play” icon on the video image below):

Whole Food Plant Based Nutrition

Whole Food Plant Based Nutrition

What is Whole Food Plant Based Nutrition and why is it important to you?  Good question!

A lot of us have heard about being a Vegan or Vegetarian but what is whole food plant based

nutrition and what can it do for you.  That’s what this week’s video is all about.

Being Vegan or Vegetarian doesn’t mean you’re eating healthy.  A lot of college students say they

are vegan…but you could qualify for being vegan by eating Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos

and a couple Buds.  Healthy?  Probably there are some better choices, right?

What people eat can be as personal as politics and religion so no preaching in this week’s

video.  But there is a story in the video about my son and how emotional

people can get about what they eat.  It’s worth watching.

So what is whole food plant based nutrition and why is it important to you?

The question that started this.

In a nutshell, it is eating more fruits and vegetables and avoiding those foods that are processed.

Or what many of use used to eat when we sat around the dinner table as kids.

It’s interesting and more than a little scary to learn that less than 3% of Americans make the

grade for achieving the following healthy lifestyle characteristics:

  1. Not smoking
  2. Not overweight
  3. Five servings of fruits and vegetables per day
  4. Exercising 30 minutes a day; five days a week

And where people fall down the most is nutrition.  So let’s take a look at that.

The article Nutritional Update for Physicians: Plant Based Diets {click here for the article} was

published in 2013 by Kaiser Permanente as advice for their 15,000 physicians and is definitely

worth a read!

I’d love to get your comments.  So leave a comment or email me.
